Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of information technology law, intellectual property rights, data protection regulations, and compliance issues relevant to the tech industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of law and technology in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel and support on a wide range of IT-related issues including software licensing, technology contracts, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to information technology, including but not limited to service agreements, software licenses, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Advise on compliance with local and international data protection laws, such as the UAE Data Protection Law and GDPR, including the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Assist clients in navigating legal implications of emerging technologies, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.
- Represent clients in disputes related to technology issues, including intellectual property infringement, breach of contract, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on current and emerging trends in information technology law.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the technology sector and advise clients accordingly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals and business stakeholders, to ensure legal considerations are integrated into technology initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance on legal issues related to technology and data privacy to internal teams and clients.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from a reputable university; an LLM in IT Law or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience in information technology law, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong understanding of IT contracts, intellectual property rights, and data protection regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and drafting skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience in litigation or dispute resolution related to IT matters is a plus.
- Knowledge of local and international laws governing technology is essential.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
