Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Manager to oversee our aerospace and defense vehicle fleet based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational efficiency, maintenance, and compliance of our diverse fleet, which includes aircraft support vehicles, ground handling equipment, and specialized defense transport.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fleet Planning and Management: Develop and implement strategies for fleet acquisition, utilization, and disposal to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs. Monitor fleet performance metrics to ensure vehicles are used effectively and maintained to the highest standards.

- Maintenance Oversight: Establish and manage a comprehensive maintenance program, including preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the annual budget for fleet operations, including maintenance, repairs, fuel, and staffing. Track expenses and ensure that fleet operations remain within budgetary constraints.

- Supplier and Vendor Relations: Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers for vehicle procurement, maintenance services, and parts supply. Evaluate vendor performance and implement improvements as necessary.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all fleet operations comply with local and international regulations related to aerospace and defense. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and safety standards.

- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of fleet personnel, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management regarding fleet performance, costs, and improvement initiatives.

- Emergency Response and Crisis Management: Develop and implement emergency response protocols for fleet operations, ensuring that the team is prepared to handle any incidents or crises that may arise.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, preferably in the aerospace and defense sector.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and operational best practices.
- Proven experience in budget management and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve fleet performance.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of local and international regulations related to aerospace and defense operations.
