Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Psychologist to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and psychological well-being of personnel, ensuring optimal performance and resilience within high-stress environments. This position will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including military personnel, engineers, and support staff, to develop and implement psychological strategies that enhance individual and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for personnel in the Aerospace and Defense sectors, utilizing a range of assessment tools and methodologies.
- Develop and implement tailored psychological intervention programs aimed at improving mental health, resilience, and performance in high-stress environments.
- Provide counseling and support services to employees facing psychological challenges, including stress management, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with human resources, management, and other departments to create a supportive work environment that prioritizes mental well-being.
- Deliver training workshops and seminars on mental health awareness, stress management techniques, and coping strategies for high-pressure situations.
- Conduct research to evaluate the effectiveness of psychological interventions and programs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in psychological practices, theories, and research, particularly in relation to the unique challenges faced in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to assess and manage psychological risks associated with various projects and operations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical or organizational psychology setting, preferably within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
- Licensed or registered to practice psychology in the UAE, with knowledge of local regulations and ethical guidelines.
- Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions.
- Strong understanding of the psychological demands and challenges associated with high-stress environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse individuals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of psychological assessment tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with military personnel or in high-security environments.
- Familiarity with organizational development and employee well-being initiatives.
- Training in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention strategies.
