Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Ajman within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost control strategies. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with our project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors for construction materials and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with standards.

2. Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with corporate goals and project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.

3. Contract Negotiation:
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

4. Purchase Order Management:
- Create, process, and monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Track and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure efficient transportation and delivery of materials to job sites.

5. Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure that procurement activities stay within budgetary constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.

6. Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement processes and supplier performance.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.

7. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- Present findings and recommendations to management for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
