Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation and logistics operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, transportation, and logistics, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, managing budgets, and leading a team of professionals to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of transportation and logistics activities, ensuring they align with company goals and industry standards. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics and operations staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals. Monitor financial performance and report on variances, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

- Process Improvement: Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations, increase productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction.

- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all transportation operations comply with local and international regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular audits and training sessions to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments (such as sales, customer service, and procurement) and external partners (including vendors, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies) to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.

- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness. Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

- Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing any concerns or issues promptly. Work to enhance customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery and effective problem resolution.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, CLTD) is a plus.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the transportation and logistics sector.

- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving operational improvements.

- Strong knowledge of logistics software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

- Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements in the UAE transportation and logistics sector.
