Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our operational processes within the Consumer Goods sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and team leadership, with a proven track record of improving efficiencies and driving productivity in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical to ensuring that our operations align with our strategic goals while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement operational strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth in the Consumer Goods sector.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution, ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget. Optimize inventory management to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Utilize lean methodologies and best practices to streamline operations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a diverse team of operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and provide training as needed.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the operations budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all operational processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless operations and alignment with overall business goals.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Supplier and Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality service delivery and negotiate favorable terms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the Consumer Goods industry.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and motivate staff.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and other operational tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of the Middle Eastern market dynamics and regulations is an advantage.
