Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Ajman, focused on the Consumer Goods sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain operations, with the ability to drive cost-effective purchasing decisions while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors to ensure the best value in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes.
2. Procurement Activities:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, purchase order creation, and order tracking.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and market trends.
3. Market Research:
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and potential suppliers.
- Analyze pricing and purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
4. Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment of goods.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and implement systems to minimize excess stock and reduce waste.
5. Contract Management:
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Review and manage supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and identifying opportunities for renegotiation.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including finance, sales, and production, to understand their procurement needs and deliver solutions that support business objectives.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve overall supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives for management review.
- Utilize procurement software and tools to track orders, manage supplier information, and analyze purchasing data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the consumer goods industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of market trends and industry standards related to consumer goods procurement.
